The conference “Russia and Africa: Prospects for Youth Cooperation” was held at State Medical University on the 2nd of October. International students from Moscow, Vladimir and Tula took part in the event. Each of them represented their university at the meeting.
The Rector of RyazSMU Roman Kalinin in his speech said:
“For us, cooperation with African countries is one of the priority areas. We hope to see more students from these beautiful countries in future. We always try to create a warm, homely atmosphere despite the fact that you are thousands of kilometers away from home”.
The 6th year RyazSMU student Jou Arnold Kevin told about foreign student’s living and their studying in Ryazan. He especially emphasized the variety of sports and creative activities that can be attended at RyazSMU. Moreover, he told about our International Student Council, dormitories and the city in general.
During the meeting, all speakers emphasized the importance of interaction and bringing together students from different continents in order to cope with the new challenges of our time. They talked about the large number of opportunities for international students in Russia, the importance of friendly ties between young people in Russia and Africa, and the need for further open dialog.
